When you need to manage a Microsoft environment and you grew up with Free Software package management systems, you realize how much you are dependent.

So you look for a smiliar system, simple, fast and cost-effective, and finally you end up with WPKG.

  1. Apprendre à utiliser des vrais outils de gestion de configuration ? Pas le temps.
  2. Learn how to use configuration management system ? No time for this.
  3. Build complex packages ? No time for this as well.

WPKG and its package definition system is a great tool to build a consistent environement when you are in a hurry. This is an experience feedback after some time in a small company.

I fall into Libre Software when my first computer broke out, and installed Debian. I’ve been on the user side for a long time, and I was afraid of developers and sysadmins. I joined the ALDIL user group, met bloukblouk, and then joined the BxLUG in Bruxelles.

I’m part of the "Jeudis du Libre" events in Bruxelles, and of a radio show about Libre Software called "Good morning Stallman". I learnt a lot thanks to the people I met and appreciate a lot now. I ended up by finding a job as a sysadmin.
