RT (Request Tracker) is one of the most widely-deployed open source ticketing systems in the world. Organizations big and small use RT to keep track of support requests, customer service inquiries, network operations tickets, software defects and all sorts of other tasks. In this talk, you’ll learn why you want a ticketing system, how to deploy RT and how RT’s features can make your life and your job easier. RT is incredibly flexible and extensible. We’ll explore how to integrate RT into your existing workflow and integrate it with the other systems you already use. If we have time, you’ll also learn a bit about RT’s history and future.
