Ruby is an object-oriented programming language, that is nice for developers. Currently, most people are using Ruby 1.8. This version is far from perfect, and Ruby 1.9, a complete reimplementation, aims to fix some of its defects.
I will try in this presentation to answer some practical questions like :
What are the advantages of using Ruby 1.9 for me, user of Ruby 1.8 ?
Is Ruby 1.9 already usable ?
How can I migrate smoothly from Ruby 1.8 to 1.9 ?
What is the future of Ruby ?
